Kitchen sink is clogged?

You could use a pail to dip the water out of the sink into a bucket or larger pot and flush it down the toilet. When it's near empty, but not completely, try plunging it again with a flat surface force cup if your toilet plunger isn't one. This time, rather than trying "to push" the blockage through, think on the lines of "sucking" or creating a back suction action on the blockage. The purpose is to "rock it back and forth" until it's loose enough to flow through. If that doesn't work, continue baling out the water until empty. Then with an empty bucket, place it under the 'P' trap connecting the sink to the drain pipe coming out of the wall. Take the trap loose and let the water spill into the bucket. Sponge up everything that didn't make it into the bucket to have a clean, dry work area. Next, send a clean out snake into the pipe coming from the wall until you push something through, or pull something out. Reassemble the P trap and check for leaks. You can rent the rodding tool.
